The North Vs South Golden Gloves Titles were decided over two hotly contested sessions on Saturday the 13th of June in Palmerston North a 22 bout program was enjoyed by a large crowd  and by all reports was a very well organised tournament , some big upsets were the order of the day the biggest being in the Elite Mens plus 91 kilo class (super heavyweight ) reigning NZ champ and World Championship  Representative Yamiko Chinula was defeated by little known  17 year old Joseph Parker from Auckland  by way of Referee stopping Contest in Round three . Earlier  former international Kahu Bentson representing the North was stopped by luke Searle (South) in the final of the Middleweight Elite Mens Division   . for more results see results section
